Sun Sunny Day

Trying to bring myself out of my overwhelm funk by playing with Spring photos... much, much more fun than prepping for my debate tomorrow night.  (Ugh, don't even want to think about it!)  Can you tell I'm procrastinating?

I Found It!

I was surprised to find Spring this weekend, as we've been having up & down temperatures.  But, today, after a Jazz brunch at Johnny D's, my friend Karen & I went on a Photo Walk through Davis Square and the neighborhoods around there.

It was really fun to be out & about on a Sunday, just seeing what we could see, and out of the 150 or so pictures I took, these are my Spring finds for you Ali!
 The basketball courts being used...

The crocuses starting to peak through...

A few other budding trees...
A friendly friend... (I was taking his picture and he finally just started whimpering he wanted to be pet so badly)
Objects in the mirror...
And this is my friend Karen :)

I really enjoyed getting out today, out on the streets to watch what the world had to share with me. So many nooks and crannies, hidden just out of our normal periphery vision, waiting to be discovered.

Happy Spring Ali!

Ali's Signs of Spring

Hi Bean!

My Challenge Results! Spring was all around here this weekend, and it was one of those times that I feel really blessed to be living in the Bay Area. We had a spring cleaning going on, especially in light of my sister, mom and twins arrival on Tuesday(YIKES). But, we spent a big chunk in the yard! I felt pretty proud of myself for pulling my weight, given that John is the resident gardener. But, that inspired me to take a walk in my neighborhood with Lucy and check out what other signs of Spring I might find. And, of course, I took along my trusty Cannon for the ride. Here's what I saw.

This is my neighbor (god help me, I forget her name. isn't that awful?), who is so sweet. She's got the nicest yard, and it hardly looks like it needs a thing. But, she's out there hacking up the weeds!

This is Christoph, who lives in a little house with the requiste wife and two children. How spring is it to see little kid bikes? (I had to open with the Toy Story bike, love that one).

Pots of Greens ready to go into the ground..

I love how this Freesia is growing by this beautiful big tree. This is so California that it's someone's front yard. Crazy cool.

And, we end our journey back home with a little bit of evidence of what John and I did today.:-)

Thank you for posing the Challenge Jeanne! What fun it was to stroll along and talk to people, explaining that I was on an assignment to find Signs of Spring. It wasn't so scary to ask to take someone's picture after all!

Happy Spring, Jelly Bean! :-)
