When do I get Snuggles like this? NEVER!

Well, it looks like Lucy has decided that my sister, Cyn, is a pretty good sub for a mommy! Check out the adorable sprawling.. and next to the Snoopy, no less!! Lu just loves my friends and family. :-) It's so damn cute. she's a loving girl, in her own special way. Never ON you, but just next to you. Sweetie.

I think I'm going to have to get that Air bed I keep borrowing from KK. Lucy is very partial to it too. In fact last night, after my sister left, she got onto the bed and rolled herself into a ball and let out a heavy sigh. I said, "so you're taking over that bed now?" She really likes her options!

Words of inspiration.. you probably saw this already, but this quote is a good one.

This quote reminds me of the need to stay present in this moment always, to be grateful for what I have and remember to say it out loud. There is something really powerful about vocalizing for me. Getting whatever thought out into the universe is very cathartic. Although, sometimes I do feel like I'm talking to myself, but overall, I feel sane when I share to the universe. :-)

Lucy's Doggy Lama Interview

This week has been spent on interviewing and doing orientations to possible dog walkers. I can't tell you how hard the process is (because she's a special dog with many doggy needs) and how thankful I am that it's falling together. I'm almost burnt to a crisp from all the dog walking I'm doing! But, the end is in sight, and I will have help 2 days per week to have a bit of a life after work. Whew. Parenting is HARD Stuff!

This pic is one that Molly took while we were all chatting at the dining room table. I think she was posing! She doesn't do that for mommy, that's for sure. :-)

Posting to Post Cause I Said So (Inner Dialogue)

Hiya Jeanne Bean! Yes, Lucy Goosey misses you, of course! I had to post this pic, it's one of my favorites of her. I actually have this on my desk at work. She was about 6 months, I think. Crazy to think she's now 3 years old! There's nothing like an adorable puppy picture to lighten one's day, right?

First, let me start by saying thank you so much for posting so much as of late. It's been great to log on and get fun stuff to read or explore. You are an adventurer and explorer by nature, and I love that about you. Keep it up!

I'm winding down here, one more day in the week. and then I get to relax some. It should be a good weekend since I have a few plans in the works. The big one is us going into the city to my coworker Susan's house for an Oscar shin dig. Susan sits across from me in our cube land, and she's just a bundle full of ideas and fun. She's 65 and acts like she's in her 40s. So young at heart, and energy to boot. I tell her all the time that I can't even do half as much as she does in one week, and I'm 38! Anyways, her boyfriend, Alan, will be there. along with her kids, Annabelle and Zach, and a few others. but small group. I've never met her beau or her son Zach, so i'm excited. Yeah for stepping out of my house for an event!

I'm going to try to get some girl time with my friend Karen. I know that will be great. I never have a bad time with her. She's one of us, through and through. All I know, is that I am going to have a good supportive weekend, regardless of any thing that may be going on around me. God damn it. I deserve all the fun, smiles and laughter in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have You Met this Girl?

I've been in bed or on the couch or one other place the past 3 days fighting the stomach flu.  It's disgusting and awful, and I am finally feeling more like myself.  I had to go to the doc today to get antibiotics for a sinus infection and she told me that the stomach thing is the worst this year.  I believe it. 

I had lots of time to fool around on my computer, and I came across a bunch of photos from my trip to see you guys last year that I had never done anything with.  I thought maybe you'd like to see them?
