Welcome Baby Jane, Three Days Old!!

Well, you guessed it, Jane C.H., was Born on Thursday October 28th, 2010!!!

She's just a peach of a girl, such a calm, cool and collected little babe! Seriously, she barely fussed, no cries, just a little wriggling and grimacing at times. I started to call her wriggly mint girl, but she was so easy to calm. I had a ball. I was walking and swaying, and shushing, and singing. Just for fun! I sang that song from Guys and Dolls, I love you a bushel and a peck.. if you know it. I think she liked when I hummed it. But, she REALLY loved the shushing to a rhythmic beat. That put her out like a light. :-)

I had that feeling today that you talk about when you see your nieces, that extra little jolt of happy. LOVE that. I'm so happy for Bill and Ashley! They are such a wonderful family. And it's been so cool to be so close through the pregnancy and birth. I didn't even get that with my own sister! So, it feels really special.

Number One thing Ali is grateful for today: having the experience of being completely and totally surrounded by love, happiness, and joy

Happy Birthday to Dad

I wish you were here with me, so I could tell you to have another great year, so that I could share some of that year with you. It's the funny thing about time markers, they are cause for celebration but equally about rememberance. I usually LOVE birthdays.. they are a holiday in Ali's world. For every person in my life. But, this is just wierd. How do I transform this day to feel positive and not hollow? Well, this year, the day is passing by. Maybe I'll figure it out next year. But, for today, I just want to say, Happy Birthday dad, where ever you are. I love you very much and miss you.

Love and Hugs, Peach
