Miracle in Chile

I am so impressed with the Chilean miners, their families and the rescue operation itself.  Last night I watched it online, and it is still going on today.  I am not ashamed to say that I had a little cry as the 1st miner was brought out.  It is truly a miracle.

There is a live stream of it here, but I haven't found one with English commentary.

I think what I am so impressed with is that the 30 miners somehow managed to live together in a space as big as a studio apartment for 2 months.  I can hardly live with myself in a 1 bed.  I'm sure that there were conflicts, but most of the miners seem to be coming out healthy and enthusiastic.  There was one miner last night, the 2nd one out, who just took my breath away.  I loved his jubiliation and pride.    You can see it here on YouTube (unfortunately CNN has disabled the embed feature for this video).

Watching the scenes of rescue and reunion remind me to be thankful today.  I am here.  I am alive.  I am loved.  I have the whole world at my disposal and it's up to me to take advantage of what I have.
