Shall we make a Healthy Offering Today?
I took this picture a few weeks ago while hiking at Mountain View Cemetery with Mom and Lucy Goosey. And this picture is burned on my brain. I keep thinking about it. Although it doesn't really show, that day was so bright and sunny. It felt like a happy place to be with my Ladies. And then I saw this grave. These oranges were a blast of color that brought in even more light, but more importantly, feelings of hope, good health, respect and sweetness. To think about the person who offered these oranges to their loved one made my heart ache.
What kind of healthy offerings can I make to others in my life?
What kind of healthy offerings can I make to myself?
To think about food as a spiritual expression is interesting to me. What about reframing the kinds of foods that I choose in this way? What if I think about cooking a meal as my own spiritual offering, what would I make? What would god or the universe or that essense that is bigger than myself make, or want?
So, the Challenge: To make conscious spiritual offerings to oneself through food for one day. Then, write about it!
Are you up for it Jeanne Bean? :-)
Love, ali

I would be up for it Ali! I actually bought all sorts of things to make an offering this week - Kale, Beets, Brussel Sprouts, I made Cashew Cheese (it's delicious!), Peaches, Bananas, Sugar Snap Peas. All things that come directly from the earth (which I didn't realize until now!) Tell me which day - and let's plan!
